Fine Margaux florality and very good depth of fruit. Almost has the breed of a cru classé with good natural charm, tannins and acidity for the future.

An assertive style for Margaux; the forthright nose has black-cherry aromas. The attack is tannic and punchy, with plenty of energy. Black fruits dominate the palate, which is powerful and taut, with a long finish. Not the most elegant style, but impressive and complex.

Pretty aromas of purple florals, sweet spice and redcurrant freshness draw you in. The palate is a bit drier and firmer than expected, with smoky oak spice, dusty tannins and developing flavours of savoury leather, blueberry compote and fruitcake. Rich and bold more than lifted and breezy but there is good flow and line.
