Clos Cantenac, L'Exubérance Blanc, Bordeaux Blanc 2021

An inviting nose, very aromatic full of lively citrus fruits and floral notes - lemon rind, peach, pear, apricot and orange blossom. Smells clean and crisp which follows through on the palate with a lovely purity and precision. I like the hint of sweetness that provides a nice counter to the clear minerality on show from the clay-limestone terroir. You get hints of succulence against a wet stone, crystalline salinity that is so moreish. It's quite direct and focussed right now - it does open up after a few minutes in the glass giving a touch more exoticism, but should continue to expand and fill out more over time. Aged in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels.
