L'Or du Ciron, Sauternes, Bordeaux, France 2016

From Château Filhot, this seven-year-old Sauternes is drinking well now, still vibrantly fresh, with piercing lemon-lime aromas and tangy grapefruit acidity but taking on some developing flavours of dried peach and apricot plus dark kumquat marmalade. A perfect partner with foie gras, blue cheese or even peanut brittle.
