Majestic, Definition Claret, Médoc, Bordeaux, France, 2016

From the excellent 2016 vintage, this is a really satisfying claret from the Médoc. Packed full of Cabernet charm with herbaceous and eucalyptus notes alongside black fruit flavours. This is rich with a long finish and kept juicy and lively from balancing acidity. The tannins are still very present at this point so if you'd prefer them a little softer it's worth cellaring for a few years. If not, open a few hours before drinking. A value pick.
