Bret Brothers, En Carementrant, Mâconnais, Pouilly-Fuissé

Brothers Jean-Guillaume and Jean-Philippe Bret took over their family vines from Domaine la Soufrandière in 2000 and also created a négociant business. For the Bret Brothers range (about 20 wines from the Mâconnais), grapes are sourced from single plots each owned by one grower. This comes from a 40- to 55-year-old, south-facing site on the Vergisson cliff. Great tension, elegance and finesse with weight of lime and apple fruit to support.
