This is a great alternative to Champagne – at a fraction of the price. Fresh, light and dry with ripe apple and grapefruit. Lovely foaming mouthfeel with creamy notes and a tangy finish –very complex for the price. This is Burgundy’s most reliable co-op, so fill-up your fridge!

100% Chardonnay, this is very pale but precise on the palate. Hints of lemon and flowers on the nose, crisp, creamy and elegant on the palate with some good development and biscuity characters. A very classy and very well priced example. Dry with good intensity on the finish. Unlike many Cremant de Bourgogne this has depth and roundness.

A sure thing from the Lugny co-op, made from Chardonnay that’s grown on limestone-clay soils. Dried fruit and nuts on the nose, fresh and lively with green apple flavours. Good value for money.

A creamy, light, fresh Crémant with a very lively mousse. Plenty of acidity, great purity. This wouldn't be mistaken for a Champagne but there is much to enjoy here. And certainly better than a cheaper, acidic Champagne alternative. WIth roots dating back to the 18th century, Cave de Lugny was officially created in 1927. Today there over 400 members, with sparkling wine production taking place in the village of Chardonnay. A lovely introduction to Crémant de Bourgogne.
