Cave de Lugny, Crémant de Bourgogne, Burgundy, France NV

White flowers on the nose, this is crisp and clean with red apple and peach flavours. It's quite delicate and subtle on the palate, could easily be served alone on a hot summer's day with a lovely almost-sweet lemon and pear drop notes towards the finish. Subtle and satisfying. A nicely refined fizz.

Often overlooked, Crémant de Bourgogne has a lot to offer, both on quality and value, as this wine proves. Very elegant nose with freshness and mineral poise. Flavours of peach, green apple and pear rest on the palate with just enough weight, while lifted by the pleasantly textural bubbles. Good mineral length.

Ripe yellow fruit and even some red fruit here. It's pleasantly creamy yet has high, zesty acidity. Easy and simple.
