Co-op, Irresistible, Chablis, Burgundy, France, 2018

2018 was a hot year, with record temperatures across Europe. And it shows in this Chablis, which is far rounder and richer than you might expect - more like Mâcon from southern Burgundy than Chablis from the north. It has a reduced nose of struck-match but the palate is soft and fleshy with melon, apple and some peppery spice. Don't judge it as a Chablis and you'll be pleasantly surprised by this Chardonnay.
