Domaine de la Rochette, Mont Sard, Mâconnais, 2017

This is just delicious, displaying the quality of a white Burgundy twice the price. Complex and weighty yet graceful, with fine concentration from 1.5ha of vines mainly 70 years old, managed by Frédéric Burrier since 2017. Gentle yet focused savoury palate of ripe yellow apples, peach fuzz and nougat with a fresh seam of acidity and a light touch of oak spice. A charmer!
