Domaine Denis Jeandeau, Pouilly Fuissé, Burgundy, France 2018

Denis Jeandeau set up his own domaine in 2006 and follows biodynamic principles. The grapes that are used to make this Pouilly-Fuissé come from 55-year-old vines grown on mainly clay soils. Subtly buttery on the nose, there's some spice, honeysuckle and a soft lemony citrus character. Elegant rather than showy, it has depth and some richness.
