This seventh-generation Gevrey Chambertin estate is best known for its three grands crus, a pioneer of natural viticulture in the region and certified biodynamic since 2009. This Bourgogne Rouge spends six months in barrel before bottling, and the oak influence is there behind the smoky, red berry fruit and earthiness. It's a fairly rustic style, slightly sappy, and medium- to full-bodied. It's pretty pricey for an everyday drinking wine, but you could lay this down for a couple of years quite happily.
