Esprit de Chablis, Chablis, Burgundy, France 2022

This Chablis is an exclusive blend made for Waitrose by the well-respected co-operative La Chablisienne. It's been crafted in a classic, safe style, firm and actually quite ripe for a Chablis. On the nose it's flamboyantly floral – honeysuckle perhaps – and you'll also find a touch of vanilla, and a suggestion of icing sugar. It's an attractive wine, though I'd personally like to see more steeliness.
