From 50-year-old vines grown on the pink granitic soils of Lancié, the grapes undergo carbonic fermentation in large wooden tanks under a blanket of CO2, before being transferred to stainless steel for alcoholic fermentation. The wine is aged in old wood for five months on its lees, giving a lovely soft, velvety texture. It does lack the punch of fruit of some, and it's a savoury, less creamy style with some grip on the finish alongside some subtle spice.
