Les Vins Aujoux, The Wine Society's Generation Series Mâcon Villages, Burgundy, France 2022

An elegant (and great value) expression of the lovely 2022 vintage, this wine is a suitable tribute to The Wine Society’s member’s appreciation for white Burgundy. The nuanced and alluring nose has delicate floral notes (chamomile, apple blossom) mingling with yellow apple, toasted almonds and preserved lemons. The palate echoes these aromas, showing deft use of oak, which adds structural complexity and texture without ever coming to the forefront. Needs some time in the glass to fully express itself and reveal all its nuances. Available February 2024.
