Charles Curtis MW has just reported for Decanter Premium on how the 2022 Burgundies are shaping up, and bills it as a very good vintage. It may not be a 'classic' year stylistically, but the crop was generous which helps keep prices for entry-level wines reasonable, and the sunny vintage produced ripe, generous and round wines. This simple Mâcon has a hint of sweet oak on the nose, faint white floral aromas and a spicy, honeyed character. The acidity is decent for the warm vintage and it has some length. Not the most exciting Mâcon-Villages around, but offers typicity at a reasonable price.
