Frédéric Burrier makes wines from estate fruit his family's Château de Beauregard but also from contract fruit, like this wine, via their négociant Maison Joseph Burrier. This has lovely structure, with gentle toasty oak that's supporting not overwhelming, as well as a lovely freshness through to the finish. It's not cheap, but it is classy, with buttery cashew nut smoothness and flavours of lemon cream and baked apples.
