A blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that has spent plenty of time ageing in the cellars. The result is a nose of baked apple and brioche, with a rich, honeyed palate showing toffee apple hints and a bready, brioche character.

Made by Chanoine Freres, who have been making wine in the region since the 1700s. This has a delicious doughy, brioche aroma with a whiff of caramelised nuts. The palate is super-fresh, quite athletic and lean, with a muscular ripple of baked apple, yeast and warm brioche. A steely, mineral character provides a fitting ending for this excellent fizz.

Offers excellent toasty complexity for the price, boasting ripe yellow apple fruit and round nutty characters, matched with brisk balancing citrus acidity. Made by Champagne house Chanoine Frères for Asda from a blend of 43% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay and 27% Pinot Noir, this punches well above its weight and is perfect for drinking over the summer.
