Dedicated to Augusta-Maria, wife of Francois-Auguste Devaux, who was widowed in 1879. This Champagne has flavours of baked apple and black pepper, with a woody character in the background. The long finish has notes of fluffy brioche.

From the same producer who makes Majestic's Oeil de Perdrix rosé Champagne, this is lovely and light, with tangy lemon rind and green apple flavours. It has a creamy, briochey mid-palate but isn't as rich as many - although fresh and lively it's nicely restrained, making it a great aperitif.
