Comte de Senneval is Lidl's reliable and keenly priced Champagne offering, available as a non-vintage (£11.49) or vintage. We're recommending the vintage bottling, which offers an obvious step up in quality. It's pretty young for vintage Champagne – currently 2013 – but has attractive creamy, brioche aromas, and warm red apple fruit. Less complexity that you'll find in many Champagnes, but a good price-to-quality ratio.
