Drinking Window: 2023 - 2024
Buyer Marcel Orford-Williams travels to Corsica every December to work with the producer on the blend for this mainstay in the Society's rosé line-up. The 2022 vintage was a hot and small vintage, but quality was good and the heat of the year doesn't show in the final wine. A blend of mainly Corsican grapes Sciaccarellu and Niellucciu with Cinsault and Grenache, it's Provençal in style, but at a lower price, pale in colour and bone dry, with juicy redcurrant fruitiness and some white flowers adding fragrance. Not complex, but a great-value everyday drinking rosé, fresh, clean and with good length. One of several Society own-label wines to be presented without a foil capsule as part of the organisation's commitment to sustainability.
