This bone-dry, traditional-method sparkler is a firm favourite. Those who prefer a more fruit-driven fizz like Prosecco might not appreciate the austere tart green apple, lemon zest and ozone-like minerality of this 100% Chardonnay, but at this price it's a great alternative to an entry-level Champagne. There's lovely digestive biscuit notes to add depth and interest, refreshed by mouthwatering acidity and a fine mousse.
