Bijou, Éminence de Bijou, IGP Coteaux de Béziers, 2020

Clear blush pink in the glass and immediately the aromas just jump out at you - so lovely, delicate but charming and expressive - summer fruits, berries, strawberries, raspberries, some lemon and lime. It has good weight on the tongue with strawberry juice and some herbal elements coming in too. This has a lovely roundness with hints of vanilla giving structure. A blend of 60% Grenache, 35% Cinsault, 5% Rolle - sourced close to the Mediterranean coast, on north-facing slopes with calcareous clay-limestone soils. Delicious to drink now but also made to age.
