Château St Eutrope, Corbières, Languedoc-Roussillon, France 2020

The Languedoc appellation of Corbières has been forging a reputation for quality and great terroirs, but continues to offer plenty of choice at the lower end of the price spectrum too, with its rustic red blends. This mix of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan speaks of sunny Mediterranean vineyards, with its generous fleshy fruit aromas and flavours – black cherry, plum, spice and a hint of boot polish darkness to it too. Would be great with lamb chops or cassoulet.
