Co-op, Irresistible Viognier, Languedoc-Roussillon, France 2021

The 2021 vintage of Co-op's 'Irresistible' Viognier is made by Les Domaines Paul Mas in Languedoc. Smokey stone fruit and thyme on the nose with lovely depth. 15% of the wine was aged in new oak barrels for three months, leading to vanilla spices on a warming palate of green fruits and lime, followed by melon and a pinch of spice on the finish. Great value at just £8 per bottle.
