Domaine de Montrose, Prestige, Côtes de Thongue, Languedoc, France 2022

Domaine de Montrose really does know how to do rosé. The estate is near Pézenas in the Languedoc, and the domaine has made rosé its thing (although there are also reds and whites in its extensive range). This Prestige cuvée, pale and delicate, opens with floral aromas; I pick up distinct notes of violets, white blossom and honeysuckle. The fruit-forward palate shows deliciously creamy red apple and strawberry characters, with good concentration and density.
