This fruit-forward number is an organic blend of Carignan with Grenache and Syrah, made by a family-run estate in Fitou. Purple-tinged in the glass, the colour hints at the fresh and juicy fruit profile. Overripe blackberry, blueberry and plum, almost jammy in profile, and rounded out by the merest hint of residual sugar. Full-bodied but fresh. Mix-six price: £11.99.
