Domaine St Ferréol, Pays d'Oc, Languedoc-Roussillon, 2017

A fragrant and soft white, this Viognier hails from the Herault valley, where it is barrel-fermented and aged in new oak. It displays exotic fruit scents, joined on the palate by some freshening bitter grapefruit and woody signatures of vanilla and sweet, exotic spices. The finish is surprisingly fresh for such a relaxed style.
