Ex-professional rugby player, Gérard Bertrand is these days a master at crafting good value whites of personality for the high street. This one is a Clairette from Château l'Hospitalet, which he purchased in 2002. New and exclusive to Majestic, it's worth seeking out for its peach, quince and lemon peel fruit, and creaminess from some time on lees (no oak though). It's not common to see 100% Clairette wines from the Languedoc, so all credit to Bertrand for choosing to make something different. Mix-six price: £11.99.
