This has been a firm favourite with the Decanter team for a while, and the new 2022 vintage doesn't disappoint. Deep dark fruit – think blackberries, plums and red cherries, all plush, freshly picked and still warm from the sun – combined with handfuls of dried shrubby herbs, pine needles, sap and a little char and smoke. The tannins are present, chewy and tactile.
