A sweet, herb-garden nose, with sage and spearmint and a sweet, oaky edge. The palate is aspirational, with oak veneering the fruit. There is a lick of pineapple acidity here and a creamy edge, but this is a wine dominated by winemaking, not terroir. An unusual minty freshness on the finish.
