Unless you’ve holidayed around Nantes, you’ve likely not tasted Gros Plant (aka Folle Blanche) – unfairly called ‘the poor man’s Muscadet’. This is bone-dry, citrussy and seaspray fresh, with wet-stone tanginess and biting acidity – perfect for shellfish, sushi or on its own.
