Typical varietal nose of herbs, fresh redcurrant and raspberry, the 2016 Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley was unoaked with a savoury hint of leather. Saline in style with plenty of red berry fruits and freshly-trimmed grass, supported by good acids and a solid tannin backbone. It offers great value at £8 per bottle.
