Domaine La Tour Beaumont, Haut Poitou Sauvignon Blanc, Loire 2021

It's been a winemaking territory for centuries, but Haut Poitou, located inland, south of Anjou Touraine, only achieved appellation status in 2011. Available from mid-August, this is a good example of the value that can be found here – a fresh, crisp dry Sauvignon, food friendly in style, with modest alcohol. Juicy and tropical in flavour profile, you'll find melon, lime and gooseberry character. Ripe and easy drinking.
