Domaine Moreux-Corty, Corty Artisan Silex, Pouilly-Fumé, Loire, France 2021

Aromas of gun flint, lemon and a little herbaceous blackcurrant leaf make for an appetising introduction to this 2021 Pouilly-Fumé, named for its flinty Silex soils. In the mouth it’s succulent, mouthwatering and textural, and the ripe fruit gives good width in the mouth. It’s broad and serious, but still has a tight mineral zestiness on the finish.
