Domaine Moreux-Corty, Pouilly-Fumé Corty Artisan Silex, Loire, France 2019

Like the other Pouilly-Fumés in the Moreux-Corty range, Silex is made with native yeasts and aged in stainless steel and concrete tank on fine lees. This 2019 vintage is still a baby, taut and concentrated with flinty minerality, a herby grassiness and a wonderful textural quality. There's a suggestion of green fruit on the nose, but this wine is about soil, not fruit.
