Grange Saint-Sauveur, Les Arceaux Rosé, Loire, France 2020

This has a distinct, coppery-orange colour. What a captivating wine, the aromas are lifted and intriguing, some volatility and notes of roasted walnuts, dried rose petals, orange rind and caramelised cashews. There's decent tannic structure here, a sensation like wet chalk in the mouth, or grapefruit pith. A wine to experiment with different types of food; try it with smoked aubergine, cured salmon salad or hard strong cheese.
