Sauvignon Blancs from this appellation are just as good as - and often cheaper than - neighbouring Sancerre. This is a subtle, rounded and understated example which forgoes overt gooseberry notes for pretty lemon, pear and quince fruit, along with herbal tones, bright acidity and oyster shell minerality.
