The packaging for this new rosé looks like that of Mirabeau's Pure, but although we're in Provence here we're talking about a different blend of grapes, a bigger producer and a lower price. You can't expect miracles from a Provence rosé priced at £6.49, but although this blend of Merlot, Cinsault, Caladoc and Carignan is commercial and simple in style, it's undeniably good value and well made, dry, with spicy redcurrant fruit notes. A good party rosé if only Provence will do.
