Lidl, Var Les Richoises, Provence 2018

Pick up a bottle of this perfect summer wine and pretend that we're not hurtling headlong into autumn! Provence rosé with any character is never usually this cheap – this example from neighbouring Var isn't hugely complex, but it does give you the pretty pale pink hue, white flowers and fresh strawberry flavours that make the region so famous for its rosé. A surprising amount of class for not much more than a fiver a bottle.
