Peyrassol, Réserve des Templiers, Côtes de Provence, France 2022

There's 10% Vermentino in the blend for this Provence rosé, which is made with grapes from high-altitude vineyards. At night-time temperatures drop considerably, and this difference between day-and night-time temperatures lends an aromatic freshness to the wine. It has lovely Provençal typicity, with spicy red currant fruit, spice and white flower notes, firm and with decent body. The more expensive 'Les Commandeurs Organic' rosé from the same estate is made in a more concentrated style, but I preferred the aromatics and expression in this 'Reserve des Templiers' cuvée.
