Château de Montfrin, Un Coup de Dés Jamais n'abolira le hasard, Côtes du Rhône, 2016

A curious, fresh nose of figs, strawberry and spice. Rounded, juicy, generous fruits bring softness on the palate. The tannins are very ripe and just a little bit soft, but there are bags of ripe fruit right through into the finish. A natural and unforced expression that is idiosyncratic but eminently drinkable, and will find many fans.
