Château du Trignon, Marsanne, Côtes du Rhône, Rhône, France 2023

This is lovely – it has real freshness, with enjoyable citrus notes to the peach and pineapple fruit. Good intensity and acidity, with a long finish too. There's much more to this than the appellation might suggest – and it's very unusual to find a pure (or essentially pure) Marsanne that's this good in the southern Rhône.
