There are multiple aromatic registers here: wild flowers, grasses, orchard fruits and tobacco leaf. It's very full-bodied, with a luxurious, slightly oily texture that's cut through with incisive acidity. This has huge power and drive, a genuine white Châteauneuf that will age with interest. Will stand up to all kinds or rich, luxurious, mildly spiced cuisine. Exceptional stuff, particularly for a Tradition bottling. Grown on sand and sandstone in lieux-dits La Janasse and La Crau; 10% matured in new oak barriques, 10% used oak, the rest in concrete.
