Domaine Etienne Pochon, Blanc, Crozes-Hermitage, Rhône 2019

There's a touch of cream and hazelnut to the pear fruit in this white Crozes. It's full-bodied, powerful, the alcohol feels a little raised, but it has a long finish. Certainly a rich and opulent style, with quite firm bitterness helping to create balance. Etienne Pochon has 16ha in Crozes-Hermitage, 12 of which are dedicated to Syrah, the rest to Roussanne and Marsanne.
