Domaine Lombard, Clos La Grande Boissière, Gigondas, 2014

From a vineyard located on the hillsides of the picturesque Gigondas village, close to the famous Dentelles de Montmirail mountains. A classic Rhône blend of 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah from 35 year old vines. it is a complex style with notes of red cherry and plenty of spice. The palate opens up to introduce a meaty intensity combined with sweet and sour cherry flavours. There is plenty of freshness to keep it alive and more than enough depth to justify this price tag.
