Famille Gonnet, Corney & Barrow, Côtes du Rhône, 2017

Made by third-generation Guillaume and Bertrand Gonnet, with 30ha of low-yielding, 110-year old vines across the region. This is elegant and well-structured, it has bite and grip with dark and jammy berry fruits, vanilla, dried herbs and violet tinges. Dark and rich, serious but with a finessed touch that keeps it easy to drink and a great match with roast meats. Decant for at least an hour before serving.
