Hommage du Rhône, Blanc, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Rhône, 2016

This nutty, complex white comes from the fruit of 25- to-30-year old vines from several top growers, grown on clay and limestone. A lovely hint of oxidation and mature leafy notes join musky stone fruit on the textured, creamy palate, balanced by refreshing acidity. A brilliant wine for the Sunday roast chicken. This label is made by Les Grandes Serres, a négociant based in Châteauneuf-du-Pape blending wines from across the southern Rhône.
