La Compagnie Rhodanienne, Domaine de Saint Alimant, Rasteau

The nose sings with gorgeous lifted pepper Syrah fruit over fleshy, red berried Grenache goodness and a slight note of witchhazel. Very soft on the palate; fleshy and giving but kept in check by supple tannins and an appestising backbone of herbs and spice. Natural, unforced style. Low alcohol too.
