This wine ticks a lot of boxes - it's from the highly lauded 2015 vintage, from a producer well known for the quality of their Châteauneuf-du-Papes, and in fact some of the grapes are sourced from their vineyards in the commune of Châteauneuf-du-Pape as well as elsewhere in the southern Rhône. It has a ripe, red and black fruit nose, while the palate is grippy and tight. It could do with decanting to open it up, which will release the lovely flavours of cherry, vanilla and hedgerow fruits.
