Stéphane Ogier, Les Closiers Blanc, Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2020

White Châteauneuf-du-Pape is always a great winter wine. Sourced from bought-in grapes grown on a variety of terroirs, 85% fermented and aged in concrete vats and 15% in large French oak barrels, this is waxy, spicy and full of lanolin and honeyed apple. Touches of flint, lime, cream and stone fruits lend interest. Balanced, full and delicious.
